Lazy Lentil Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
    3 c. water
    1 c. dry lentils
    3 medium (fat) carrots, cut in chunks
    2 medium tomatoes, chopped
    3/4 c. small-size fresh mushrooms, vertically sliced or buttons only
    3 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
Preparation
    Add dry
    soup
    mix to boiling water in a 2 quart saucepan. Lower
    heat
    to
    simmer and add dry lentils, followed by cilantro. Simmer 5 minutes and add carrots.
    When carrots are nearly tender,
    add
    tomatoes
    and
    mushrooms.
    Total cooking time: 25 minutes.
    For best results, prepare the previous day and refrigerate.
    Serve
    hot
    with
    a
    dollop of chilled plain yogurt.
