Seven Layer Vegetable Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head lettuce, broken into bite size pieces
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green peppers
    1 c. chopped purple or green onions
    1 small can green peas, drained
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1 boiled egg, sliced (optional)
    grated Parmesan cheese
    paprika
Preparation
    Place lettuce in
    large
    bowl.
    Then
    add
    celery, then green peppers, then
    onions,
    then green peas.
    Mix mayonnaise and sugar.
    Cover
    vegetables
    with mayonnaise mixture, making sure to cover
    completely.
    Sprinkle cheese on top, then bacon crumbs and lastly place
    egg
    slices
    on top and sprinkle with paprika to add color.
    Cover tightly and place in refrigerator and let set overnight.
