Shortribs In Beer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. beef shortribs
    1 large onion, sliced thin
    2 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
    1 c. beer
    1/4 c. cooking oil
Preparation
    Brown shortribs in cooking oil on stove.
    Place shortribs in 13 x 9-inch cake pan, 2 to 2 1/2-inches deep.
    Place sliced onion over ribs.
    Pour soup mix over ribs.
    Pour beer over top of ribs. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0. Uncover for the last 1/2 hour.
    Serve with plain rice, using the juice of ribs to pour over rice.
