Pasta Fagioli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cloves garlic
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) cannellini beans
    1 lb. ditalini or elbow macaroni
    fresh parsley, chopped
    1 small onion, minced
    grated cheese
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    In a saucepan, fry the garlic and onion in the oil until golden brown.
    Add tomato sauce and water.
    Let cook 10 minutes. Add beans (with juice); stir gently and continue to simmer.
    Cook macaroni al dente; drain.
    Add to bean mixture.
    Stir.
    If too thick, add a little more water.
    Add parsley, salt and pepper. Serve immediately or else the pasta will absorb all the liquid. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
    Al dente means firm.
