Dutch Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter (room temperature)
    1 c. self-rising flour
    3/4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Add all ingredients to egg and mix.
    Grease a 9-inch layer cake pan with Crisco.
    Bake at 375\u00b0.
    Each time cake starts to rise, shake down.
    Continue shaking and cooking until brown.
