Strawberry Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. strawberries, measured after hulling and mashing
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg white
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Measure the 1 cup strawberries after hulling and mashing. Place in bowl.
    Add the sugar, egg white and salt.
    Beat with electric mixer for 7 to 10 minutes, until mixture forms peaks. Use over sliced cake.
    Makes 8 servings.
