Chicken Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. chicken or hen
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 stick margarine
    5 c. plain flour
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    2 tsp. salt
    2 c. ice water
Preparation
    Boil chicken in water.
    Salt and pepper until done.
    Remove chicken from broth and debone and place back in broth.
    Add margarine and soup.
    Cook until well blended, then simmer while making dumplings.
