Kraut Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. cocoa
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. rinsed, drained and chopped sauerkraut
1 c. water
Preparation

Cream well butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Alternate water and egg mixture to dry ingredients.
Stir in kraut.
Turn into 2 greased 9-inch round cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until cake tests done. Frost with mocha icing.
