Quick Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced cucumbers
    6 medium onions, sliced
    1 green pepper, sliced
    1 red pepper, sliced
    1/3 c. salt
    3 c. white vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    In a large pan, place cucumbers, onions and peppers.
    Cover with ice cubes.
    Sprinkle with salt.
    Let stand 3 hours or overnight.
    Do not rinse!
    Drain and add white vinegar, sugar, turmeric, celery seed and mustard seed.
    Bring to a rolling boil. Put in hot jars and seal.
