Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. Karo corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 egg white, beaten stiff
    1/2 c. black walnuts
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. coconut
Preparation
    Boil sugar, corn syrup and water together until it spins a thread (240\u00b0), or until it forms a firm ball when dropped in cold water.
    Beat egg white until stiff and pour syrup mixture slowly into egg white.
    Beat rapidly until all syrup mixture is added to egg white.
    Fold in nuts, raisins and coconut.
    Beat constantly until mixture stands alone.
    Drop by teaspoonful on waxed or oiled paper.
    Serve when cold.
    (I use a wooden spoon to beat.)
