Crescent Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
3 Tbsp. warm water
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
soft butter
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.
Place shortening and salt in boiling water; let stand until lukewarm. Beat eggs and mix in sugar.
Add to water mixture and add yeast.
Stir in 2 cups flour; beat well.
Add remaining flour gradually. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Roll dough in 2 rounds 1/4-inch thick. Spread with softened butter and cut in pie shaped wedges. Roll into crescents.
Let rise 3 hours on greased baking sheet. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 6 to 10 minutes.
Yields 2 to 3 dozen rolls.
