Patience Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix with pudding
    2 (8 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
    2 (8 oz.) sour cream
    1 box powdered sugar
    1 can chopped pineapple
    chopped cherries
    chopped pecans
    coconut
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed.
    Bake two round layers.
    With thread, cut each layer into four layers.
    Combine all remaining ingredients and pour plenty on top of each layer.
    Put in freezer for two days.
