Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 c. dairy sour cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Blend in eggs and vanilla.
    Add combined dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, mixing well after each addition.
    Chill several hours or overnight.
    On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness; cut with 3-inch round cookie cutter.
    Place on well-greased cookie sheet; sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned.
    Yields approximately 2 dozen.
