    4 strips bacon
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    salt
    2 c. milk
2/3 c. whipped cream or half and half
    3 c. potatoes, diced
2 to 3 cans chopped calms
    pepper
    1/4 c. flour
Preparation
Cut the bacon into 1/2-inch pieces and lay in bottom of a 3-quart casserole dish.
Bake in microwave 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the potatoes and onion; cover with the clam juice from the canned clams.
Cook in the microwave 10 to 15 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
Add 1 2/3 cups milk (I use part half and half and part milk).
Mix the remaining 1/3 cup milk with the flour.
Add to potato mixture and stir.
Cook in the microwave for 8 to 10 minutes, until thickened; stir every 2 minutes.
When the mixture is thickened, add the clams and whipping cream.
    Cook another 4 minutes.
