Creamy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium potatoes, peeled
    1 small onion
    4 average green onions, finely chopped
    1 clove minced garlic
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 c. chicken broth
    3/4 c. whipping cream or half and half
    1 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 dash white pepper
    1 dash nutmeg (optional)
Preparation
    Cut potatoes and onion into eighths.
    In a 3-quart saucepan, add green onions, garlic and butter.
    Saute for 1 minute.
    Fold in the potato and onion eighths, following with the chicken broth. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
    Puree cooked soup in food processor or blender until smooth.
    Add cream, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
    Can be served hot or cold.
    Garnish with croutons, chipped chives and/or parsley.
