Successful Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 Tbsp. cornstarch
enough water to moisten cornstarch
1/2 c. boiling water
3 egg whites
few grains salt
6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

In saucepan, moisten cornstarch in a small amount of water. Stir in the boiling water.
Cook until thick and clear.
Cool.
In bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
Add salt and then add sugar gradually.
Beat in the cooked and cooled cornstarch and beat until of the right consistency to stand in pretty peaks.
Top pie and brown as usual in a 375\u00b0 oven.
