Six Weeks Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. 100% bran
    5 c. flour
    5 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    4 c. All-Bran
    1 qt. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix boiling water and bran together; let stand.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    To this add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add the All-Bran and buttermilk.
