Vegetable Beef Barley Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chuck meat, cut into bite-size pieces
    1 can tomatoes (28 oz.)
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    2 c. water
    1 can green beans (8 oz.)
    1 can kernel corn
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. barley
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 clove garlic, minced
Preparation
    Place meat, tomatoes, salt and bay leaf in a medium saucepan. Add 2 cups water, cover and bring to a boil.
    Skim surface, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour.
    Add bean, corn, onion, barley, oregano and garlic.
    Simmer 1 hour or longer until tender.
