Scottish Oatcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. quick cooking oats
    3 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening, softened
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 to 1/2 c. cold water
Preparation
    Mix flour, oats, salt and sugar.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add water, mixing with fork.
    Roll out to about 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut out into rounds (with glass).
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 until golden brown (about 20 to 25 minutes).
