Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yeast
    2 Tbsp. lukewarm water
    3 tsp. baking powder
    5 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine flour, soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Cut in shortening until size of a pea.
    Add buttermilk; add yeast dissolved in lukewarm water.
    Stir in flour until dampened.
    Knead 8 to 10 times on floured surface.
    Roll out and cut into biscuits. By leaving space between them, they will brown better.
    Brush with butter.
    Let rise approximately 1 hour.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Dough can be stored in tightly covered bowl in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
    Yield: 50 biscuits.
