Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, lightly beaten
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and pepper together.
    Blend egg and milk together.
    Add sugar.
    Add to flour mixture gradually.
    Stir in corn.
    Drop by spoonfuls into deep hot fat. Fry until brown.
    Drain and serve with maple syrup.
