Mexican Corn Bread(A Meal In Itself.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (16 oz.) can cream-style corn
    1/4 tsp. bacon drippings
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese (optional)
    2 or 3 canned jalapeno peppers
Preparation
    Grease large skillet and sprinkle a little corn meal and let brown.
    Pour 1/2 of the batter in skillet; sprinkle cheese over batter, then the meat, next onion and last the peppers.
    Pour remaining
    batter on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
