Ruby'S Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs (reserve 3 of the egg whites for icing)
    2 sticks butter, melted
    1 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. milk
    1/2 pkg. frozen coconut
    2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo syrup
    3 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix melted butter and sugar.
    Add eggs (saving 3 of the whites for icing).
    Beat until mixed.
    Add flour and milk.
    Mix well. Add vanilla.
    Pour into greased and floured pans.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 until toothpick stuck in center comes out clean.
