Angel Bavarian Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks
    1 pt. milk
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 tsp. almond flavoring
    4 egg whites
    1 angel food cake
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
    1 pkg. frozen coconut
Preparation
    In double boiler, mix egg yolks, milk, flour, sugar and salt. Stir over boiling water until thickened.
    Dissolve gelatin in water and add to cooked mixture.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in mixture.
    Add flavoring.
    Break cake into small pieces and cover bottom of large casserole dish with cake, pour on layer of egg yolk mixture.
    Repeat until all is used.
    Chill and top with whipped cream and coconut before serving (I think 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring is enough).
