Baking Powder Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. milk
    1 unbeaten egg
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients, except unbeaten egg and milk, together with a pastry blender.
    Pour milk into mixture slowly and add egg last.
    Knead only five times on a floured board.
    More will make biscuits heavy.
    Cut with 2-inch round cutter.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
