Heart Of Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. evaporated milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. red food coloring
    2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate, melted
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar.
    Put into softened shortening.
    Add 1 cup milk until mixed.
    Beat 2 minutes on low speed.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bake in 2 layer pans, greased and floured, at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Fill layers; cover with any chocolate icing.
