Country Fried Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 2 c. Aunt Jemima yellow cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
garlic powder to taste (optional)
1 qt. boiling water (must be boiling)
very hot oil or grease (enough to fry)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Pour boiling water over dry ingredients until mixed well.
Wet hands and pat out hand size patties.
Fry in iron skillet in very hot oil.
Brown on one side and turn.
It is very important to keep oil very hot.
This is delicious with any kind of greens, beans or peas.
