Sausage Pinwheels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. sausage
Preparation
    Sift flour with salt and baking powder.
    Cut in shortening. Add milk and mix.
    Divide dough into 2 parts.
    Roll out 1/4 inch thick.
    Spread with half of the sausage.
    Roll as for jelly roll. Repeat with remaining dough and sausage.
    Wrap in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator.
    When ready to serve, slice 1/3 or 1/4 inch thick.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until slightly brown.
    Serve warm.
    Freezes well.
    Very good when you have a crowd for breakfast.
    Make up in advance and freeze.
