Egg-Cheese Puff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices bread
    1 qt. milk
    6 eggs
    1 c. grated cheese
    1 c. cubed ham
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add salt, pepper and milk.
    Cut crust from bread; butter one side.
    Butter a 9 x 12-inch Pyrex dish.
    Place 6 slices of bread (buttered side down) in the dish.
    Cover with grated cheese and ham.
    Place remaining slices of bread (buttered side up) on top.
    Pour egg mixture over all.
    Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
    Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0, uncovered, in pan of water.
