Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers
    8 small onions
    2 green bell peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. vinegar
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Wash and slice cucumbers.
    Slice onions and peppers.
    Mix salt with cucumbers, onions and peppers and cover with water.
    Let stand 3 hours.
    Heat remaining ingredients and pour over drained vegetables.
    Heat through and through and can.
    Seal in glass jars.
