Chocolate Cherry Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 blocks (2 oz.) Hershey's baking chocolate
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped maraschino cherries, well drained
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt baking chocolate over hot water.
    Cream butter with sugar.
    Add egg; blend well.
    Stir in vanilla and baking chocolate; beat until combined.
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Blend into chocolate mixture.
    Stir in cherries and nuts.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 13 to 15 minutes or until set.
    Makes 5 dozen.
