Pecan Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ground mace
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    3 large eggs
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 8-inch square baking pan.
    Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices together into a large mixing bowl.
    Place butter in a large mixing bowl and cream until soft.
    Gradually beat in the sugar and eggs.
    Stir in pecans.
    Add the flour mixture alternately with molasses and milk, beating well after each addition.
    Spoon into pan.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes.
