Hash Brown Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. (8 oz.) American cheese or Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 c. sour cream
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (32 oz.) frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
    1 c. corn flakes, crushed
    1 Tbsp. margarine, melted (optional)
    1 lb. ham, cubed
Preparation
    Grease 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Combine shredded cheese, soup, sour cream, onion, 1/4 cup margarine, salt and pepper.
    Mix well.
    Fold in potatoes.
    Turn into baking dish.
    Toss together corn flakes and 1 tablespoon margarine.
    Sprinkle over potatoes. Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour or until casserole is golden brown and potatoes are tender.
    Yield:
    8 to 10 servings.
