Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. oats
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour hot water over oats.
    Let stand.
    Cream brown sugar, white sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs.
    Sift flour, soda, cinnamon and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Stir.
    Add oats and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
