Cheese Buds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 c. butter, softened
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1 egg white, slightly beaten
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine cheese and butter; mix until well blended.
    Sift flour and pepper.
    Gradually stir into cheese mixture.
    Roll 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board.
    Cut into 1-inch rounds.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet; brush with egg white.
    Top with pecan half.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
