Ruby Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. (3 oz.) cherry flavored gelatin
    2 Tbsp. red-hot candies
    1 3/4 c. boiling water
    2 c. chopped apples
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a bowl stir gelatin and candies in boiling water until dissolved.
    Chill until partially set.
    fold in apples, celery and pecans.
    Pour into a 1 qt. serving bowl.
    Chill until firm, at least 4 hours.
    Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
