Chinese Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak
    1 onion (medium)
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 green pepper, diced
    1 c. beef bouillon
    1 can whole tomatoes
    2 tsp. soy sauce
    1/4 c. cold water
    1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
    garlic to taste
Preparation
    Cut round steak in 1/8-inch strips.
    Brown in oil with onion and garlic.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    Add green pepper and bouillon; simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
    Add tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Meanwhile, mix cornstarch, soy sauce and water. Add to meat mixture.
    Cook, stirring, until thickened.
    Serve over rice.
    Makes 4 servings.
