Queen'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1 c. chopped dates
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Mix with dates.
Bake in a 9 x 9-inch pan, greased and floured, in 350\u00b0 oven for about 35 minutes.
