Green Tomato Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. green tomatoes
    3 lb. onions
    3 lb. bell peppers
    1/2 c. salt
    3 c. sugar
    vinegar to cover
Preparation
    Chop vegetable mix in salt, let stand 45 minutes, then put mixture in cheesecloth bag and squeeze dry.
    Place in saucepan with sugar and vinegar to cover.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook until peppers change color, then jar.
