Cold Oven Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. plain flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs

Preparation

Mix in order.
Beat for 12 minutes.
Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time.
Add milk and flour alternately. Add vanilla last.
Put in cold oven; turn oven to 300\u00b0 and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
