Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 small heads loose leaf lettuce
2 Tbsp. vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
4 strips bacon
2 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. brown sugar (optional)
Preparation

Wash lettuce and dry thoroughly.
Tear into pieces and put in large salad bowl.
Fry bacon crisp.
Remove from fat and crumble. Add remaining ingredients to fat in pan and heat to boiling.
Pour over lettuce and toss.
Put crumbled bacon on top.
Green onions may be added or hot, sliced, hard-boiled eggs on top.
