Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 stick butter or 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon zest (yellow part of peel)
    confectioners sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Fold in flour mixture, milk, lemon juice and zest, mixing only enough to combine well.
    Pour into an oiled and floured bread pan and bake until done, approximately 1 hour.
    Unmold and dust top with confectioners sugar, if desired.
    Makes 8 servings.
