Better Than Life Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix, prepare as pkg. directions
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 large box vanilla instant pudding
1 c. coconut
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Preparation

Mix pineapple and sugar; cook until thick.
(Doesn't get real thick.)
Punch holes in cake and pour pineapple mixture over cake. Prepare pudding as directed; mix in coconut and spread over top of pineapple mixture on the cake.
Cover with Cool Whip and pecans.
