Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook raisins, sugar, water and shortening together for 10 minutes.
    Let cool.
    When cool, add flour and spices.
    Batter is quite thin.
    Bake in an oblong 13 x 9-inch pan in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
    This recipe can be baked in a jelly roll pan and used as bars.
