Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. molasses
1/2 c. butter
3 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease cookie sheets.
Put butter in a large mixing bowl.
Set aside.
Heat the molasses to the boiling point, then pour it over the butter.
Mix the dry ingredients and sift together.
Add butter and molasses.
Chill mixture thoroughly.
Place 1/4 of the mixture on a floured board and roll as thin as possible.
Cut shapes with a small round cutter that has been dipped in flour.
Roll the trimmings in with the next 1/4 of the dough.
Keeps remaining dough chilled.
Bake 8 to 12 minutes until crisp.
