Date Nut Harvest Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped apples
1/3 c. margarine
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Pour 1 cup boiling water over chopped dates, baking soda and chopped apples.
Mix well and cool.
Cream together margarine, sugar and eggs; add vanilla.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with date mixture.
Bake in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
