German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bacon, fried to a crisp
    5 lb. potatoes, evenly sliced (leave skins on)
    1 c. green beans
    1 c. oil
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    chopped green onion
    1 Tbsp. basil
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook sliced potatoes in bacon grease and water to cover until tender.
    Add green beans the last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking time. Drain.
    Add bacon pieces and dressing.
    Mix only until combined. Serve hot.
