Old Southern Corn Bread Or Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising corn meal
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine flour, corn meal and sugar.
    Add one tablespoon bacon drippings, buttermilk and eggs.
    Leave 2 tablespoons in pan.
    Pour batter in pan and bake at 400\u00b0 for about 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
