Sopaipilla - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 pkg. cake yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1 1/4 c. scalded milk
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Mix yeast in warm water.
    Melt shortening in scalded milk.
    Combine all ingredients; knead until smooth and glossy.
    Let rise 45 minutes.
    Knead and roll dough 1/4-inch thick. Cut into 3-inch squares.
    Drop into very hot 450\u00b0 oil.
    Remove after each square has puffed up and lightly browned.
    Cut small hole in each and fill with honey.
    Serve immediately.
