Six Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cocoa
    1 stick butter
    2/3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. Karo syrup (white)
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cocoa.
    Add butter, milk and Karo and bring to full boil.
    Reduce heat to medium and cook for 6 minutes.
    Cool mixture for 15 minutes.
    Add flavoring and beat until creamy.
    Add nuts if desired.
    Pour onto a buttered platter.
    Cut when cold.
